After 10 years of running scouting clubs, summer camps, and training leaders, we are making our programs available to teenagers all over the world. Every week, we provide videos and instructions for outdoor activities. From pioneering to navigation, and from first aid to international sports. Every week your students can get something exciting to do, and they collect keys for doors that they open to knowledge and skills.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>But this video is not about <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">What we do<\/span><\/strong>. You can read more about our program and about our Adventures on our website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daringduck.com\">daringduck.com<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>If this video is not about What we do, then what is it about?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>This video is about <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Why at Daring Duck we do what we do<\/span><\/strong>, and <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">why we welcome you to give these exciting activities to your students.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffe6d5\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>During the last 10 years, students have missed out of something. Many of them are full-time focused on their study results, and if they have some spare time, then it is spent on social media or with playing online games.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong><em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">So what have they missed?<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>The two most important things that I saw that they missed were: <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">happiness and confidence<\/span><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>I missed the <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">cheerful attitude<\/span><\/strong> that people get by <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">facing and conquering challenges<\/span><\/strong>, and by <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">doing energetic things together<\/span><\/strong>. And all the knowledge and skills that they acquired with studying and by becoming more proficient in games,<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\"> it did not result in<\/span> <\/strong>that what is essential for succeeding in life: <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">to have confidence in yourself<\/span><\/strong>. Confidence that you can succeed with the challenges of life.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Luckily, I also saw that changing. In the 10 years of running scouting clubs, I saw our students blossom up, I saw them grow. Maybe it is best summarized by what the schoolteacher of one of our members said to his parents: \u2018Your child always takes <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">initiative<\/span><\/strong>. When the class is doing <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">new activities<\/span><\/strong>, he moves forward and takes on <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">responsibility as a leader<\/span><\/strong>\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong><em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">So how did that change happen?<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>It happened by teaching our youth-members <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">practical skills<\/span><\/strong>. Skills that help them in daily life. From knowing what to do when an <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">accident<\/span><\/strong> happens, to <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">finding your way<\/span><\/strong> in a new city.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>From being <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">able to buy food<\/span><\/strong> and prepare a meal, to knowing how to provide <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">first aid<\/span><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>And with obtaining those skills, our members started to believe in themselves. They got <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">confidence<\/span><\/strong>. And with that, they became <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">happier<\/span><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\"><em>I want to invite <strong>you<\/strong> to realize and see that same growth in <strong>your<\/strong> students.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffe6d5\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Growing is not about having more knowledge. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Growing is an attitude<\/span><\/strong>. It is the attitude that people have who feel confident that they <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">can face challenges<\/span><\/strong>. That they have, or can <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">obtain<\/span><\/strong>,<strong> <span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">the skills<\/span><\/strong> to succeed with what is coming.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>To help you to bring that attitude to your students, <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">every month Daring Duck gives you videos and instructions<\/span> <\/strong>with the Adventures of that month.&nbsp; I chose for videos because after years of training teachers, I noticed that <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">you are just like me<\/span><\/strong>: you forget things. The scouting program has so many different topics, that it is difficult to stay proficient in all of them.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>By using videos, you have 2 ways to teach your students:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\" class=\"has-small-font-size\"><li><em><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">You can show<\/span><\/strong> the English videos to your students and then they can do the challenge of that video, or<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">You can use the video<\/span><\/strong> as training for yourself. You open the doors to improve your own skills, and then, you can present these skills to your students.<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Each week you get 2 to 6 short videos. After each video, your students will be busy for 3 to 30 minutes <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">to complete a challenge<\/span><\/strong>.
